Mr. Mortimer, in his give back efforts, regularly speaks to audiences attending Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) bi-monthly seminars, as Impact Panel Speaker. As a victim of a drunk driver in 1978, Charles feels that he can be of service in the recovery of once-convicted drug and drunk drivers, which assists in his own healing, of sorts.

Serving on the Bay East Association of Realtors® Professional Standards Committee and the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee is a part of who Charles is. He appreciates his diverse roles on select committees, which Bay East Association of Realtors® governs. The Professional Standards Committee acts as an arbitrator attentive to the needs of Realtor members. The MLS Committee keeps the MLS Rules and Regulations updated for its Bay East Association of Realtors® members.

Awards which Mr. Mortimer has earned include the Pinnacle Award (the highest form of accolade at Bay East Association of Realtors®) for 2004 and 2005. He has earned the Master’s Award in 2006, 2007, 2016, 2017, and 2018. He holds a Broker’s license with California Department of Real Estate (DRE), and he is a member of National Association of Realtors® (N.A.R.), California Association of Realtors® (C.A.R.), and Bay East Association of Realtors®. Charles is a member of the Castro Valley and Hayward Chambers of Commerce, and Rotary Club of Castro Valley, where he has been a proud member since 2002, currently serving as Past President for 2018 and 2019.
