After 8 years of ownership of a credit repair company, I’ve experienced first hand how divorce can negatively impact one’s credit score. Now that I have transitioned to being a mortgage loan officer, and a member of RCS-D™, I look forward to becoming involved during the discovery process of the divorce timeline. My developed knowledge base on personal credit and mortgages should definitely be a positive value add to a very stressful event. Sharing the importance that both parties exit the process with strong credit scores, and developing a road map of possible scenarios on how the real estate can be addressed will be beneficial and provide clarity to the process.
